About the Author
Hi, I'm Jaclyn, and I used to struggle with health issues that got so much worse if I "cheated" on my healthy "diet." The holidays were always the hardest. But I realized I could either cheat my way to painful consequences for poor food choices, skip out on fun holiday gatherings, OR create recipes I could eat that I truly enjoyed too!
I chose to get creative and remake all my favorite holiday foods. Nourishing Holiday is the result of my determining not to give in to holiday temptations, and, instead, choosing to nourish my body and allow it the gut-healing foods it needed.
Not only do I prefer to feed my body healing foods, but I've got four boys counting on me to feed their bodies the foods they need to grow into healthy, strong men. My sons also understand the importance of healthful eating and they enjoy spending time in the kitchen with me, preparing healthy food together.
I pray this resource allows you to give your body the healing foods it needs to thrive through the holidays without compromising your needs, or feeling like you have to deprive yourself of good food.

There are a lot of cookbooks in the world. I can count on my hands the ones I actually use on a regular basis. Nourishing Holiday is brimming with gorgeous photographs; it's a joy to behold. But more importantly, it contains all the holiday recipes that people on the Paleo or other allergy-friendly diets desperately need. I cured my rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome by changing my diet. It took two years but I healed completely, and most people can, too. With this lovely cookbook, you can get through the holidays without cheating or depriving yourself. Even though I eat gluten and grains now, I can't wait to try these recipes.
